In Wireless Signal Processing Laboratory (WSPL), we conduct research on wider areas of wireless communication. To sample a few, we currently work on the following areas: 1) Cooperative communications and wireless network coding, 2) Multiple antenna techniques (MIMO), 3) Error correction techniques for storage devices, 4) Transmission techniques for wireless multimedia/broadcasting.
In cooperative communications and wireless network coding, we work on cooperation schemes between users for coverage extension, and wireless network coding to enhance network throughput.
In multiple antenna techniques, we focus on MIMO, limited feedback techniques, and scheduling for multi-user environments.
In error correction techniques for storage devices, we investigate error correction and cancellation schemes for flash memory or hard disk.
In transmission techniques for wireless multimedia/broadcasting, we study error correction, modulation/demodulation, and transmission schemes for next generation multimedia broadcasting systems.
We focus on theoretical analysis of new research ideas as well as their applications to practical wireless systems.
